Two weeks with the MYDE 8-in-1 150K and what I could not settle<\/h2>\n

I have kept this device on my desk for a fortnight and at a shop counter before that. In that time I went through most of four flavour positions, charged it more often than I expected to, and wrote down every figure the listing states without adding one of my own. Eight positions out of four coils: what the shop states, and what it leaves open<\/h2>\n

The name is the first thing anyone asks about. Eight flavours, four coils, one mouthpiece – the arithmetic is not obvious, and our listing names the feature without explaining the route. So here is what the listing does say, then what it does not, kept strictly apart.<\/p>\n

Where the eight positions sit on the dial<\/h3>\n

The listing states an 8-in-1 flavour positioning and four mesh coils, one 1.2 ohm coil to each of four tanks, with 58 ml split between them. Eight positions on the selector therefore have to be reached from four tanks, not from eight. That is the whole of what is documented about the arrangement.<\/p>\n

Why four coils and eight positions is not a contradiction<\/h3>\n

Four tanks give four straightforward choices. The remaining positions necessarily come from combining what the tanks hold – a tank on its own, or a tank drawn together with another. Four single positions plus four combined ones is the only arrangement that fits both stated figures without inventing a fifth tank. I am presenting that as the reading the numbers allow, not as a mechanism the shop describes, because the shop does not describe one.<\/p>\n
