Three weeks with the Rave 40000, and what this page covers
Three weeks ago I put one Vozol Rave 40000 on the counter beside the till and left it there, which is the only honest way I know to find out whether a 20 ml device with a glowing screen is a tool or a toy. I have charged it, drained it, left Surge mode switched on far longer than I meant to, and watched what the display does once the fill drops low. This page sets out what I found, what our own specification sheet states, and – just as usefully – the two figures our sheet does not state at all.
It is written for someone buying one device rather than a pallet. The packing numbers are down at the bottom, in a single block, for the shops that asked for them.
Every figure on our own sheet, and what each one changes for you
Most listings for this device print a value and stop. A value on its own tells you nothing about what the next three weeks feel like, so the third column below is the one I would actually read.
The numbers buyers ask about first
| Parameter | As our own sheet states it | What it changes in the hand |
|---|---|---|
| Puff rating | Up to 40,000 puffs, a manufacturer figure | A ceiling rather than a forecast. The section below turns it into a band you can plan with. |
| E-liquid capacity | 20 ml, pre-filled and sealed | This is the figure that decides how long the device really lasts. Nothing can be added to it. |
| Battery | 1000 mAh, rechargeable | Expect several charges across one fill. The liquid runs out first; the cell does not. |
| Coil | Dual Mesh | Two mesh heaters share the work, so the first draw and the thousandth taste closer together than on a single coil. |
| Display | Smart Display with Glowing Lights | Fill level and battery percentage in one glance, so you stop guessing when it is about to give up. |
| Airflow | Adjustable with the switch on the base | The one setting that changes the draw without changing the mode – and the one that empties the fill fastest when it is wide open. |
| Flavours | 23 options | Chosen at the variation selector before the device goes in the cart, so the choice is made before you pay rather than after. |
| Carton packing | 200 pieces, approx. 22.5 kg, 560 x 265 x 365 mm | Relevant only if you are stocking shelves. There is one trade block at the end of this page and it is not repeated here. |
Two fields that a specification table like this normally carries are missing from ours, and they are dealt with honestly further down rather than filled in from somebody else’s page.
What 40,000 puffs really means at 20 ml
Vozol Rave 40000 puffs is the manufacturer’s rating for this device and it deserves to be treated as a real rating: it is what Vozol publishes and what our own sheet carries. It is not a measurement of what you will get, and the arithmetic that shows why sits on our own sheet, in our own two figures.
Why the headline is a ceiling, not a forecast
Divide the rating by the fill. Forty thousand draws across 20 ml works out at 2,000 draws from every millilitre. Published consumption figures for prefilled devices sit at roughly 200 to 300 draws per millilitre on shorter, gentler mouth-to-lung draws, and 65 to 150 per millilitre once the draw gets long and open. Two thousand per millilitre is several times either of those, which means the headline number is reachable only under test conditions far lighter than the way a person actually draws. The gap between a rated figure and a measured one is a per-millilitre question, not a fixed percentage, so the band below is built from the 20 ml and the published consumption rates rather than from a discount applied to the headline.
The band I would budget for
| How you draw | Published liquid use | Draws to expect from the 20 ml fill |
|---|---|---|
| Short, gentle draws | 200 to 300 draws per ml | Roughly 4,000 to 6,000 |
| Long, open draws | 65 to 150 draws per ml | Roughly 1,300 to 3,000 |
| Either of the above with Surge selected | Surge empties the reservoir faster than Regular | Plan at the bottom of the row you recognise |
If you draw the way most people do, four to six thousand draws is the number to plan with, and anything beyond that is a bonus. That is still an unusually large amount from one sealed reservoir. It is simply not forty thousand, and a page that promises forty thousand is selling you a test result rather than a week of use.
What our own sheet still does not state
| Still open | What we can state | How to settle it before ordering |
|---|---|---|
| Coil resistance | Our sheet does not carry a resistance value for this device at all. | Ask us before you buy, or read the value printed on the pack when it arrives. |
| Nicotine strength | Our sheet is silent, and we will not quote another shop’s figure for it. | Confirm it with us, or check the packaging before the device goes into use. |
| Charging connector | The sheet says rechargeable and names no port. | Ask us, or simply match the cable to the port on the device you receive. |
| The rating in Surge mode | One rating appears on our sheet: up to 40,000 puffs. Other listings split the number across the two modes. | Treat any Surge figure as unconfirmed and plan from the band above instead. |
| Which Vozol 40K you are reading about | Rave, Star, Vista and Rave Swap are four different devices, and their listings get mixed together in search results. | Check the model name and the 20 ml fill before you compare any figure you have seen elsewhere. |
Printing another shop’s numbers in these rows would make the page look more complete and would make it less true. Two of the five – coil resistance and nicotine strength – are quoted freely on retail pages elsewhere in figures our own sheet does not confirm, which is exactly why they are questions here and not values.
Running it: the screen, the modes and the airflow switch
Before the first draw
Look at the panel before you draw on it. A display is the one part of a sealed device that cannot be swapped later, so a scratch or a smear found on day one is a conversation worth having with us rather than a mark you live with for a month. Give it a charge before the first long session, and once it fires, watch the fill readout move as you draw. If it stays still, say so early.
Regular or Surge
There are two modes and they do genuinely different jobs. Regular gives the smoother, cooler draw and stretches the fill. Surge brings the second mesh heater in alongside the first: flavour gets louder, vapour gets thicker, and the reservoir empties noticeably faster. That is how our own description puts it, and one long run with Surge switched on showed me both why the mode is worth having and why I would not leave it there.
| Setting | What changes | When I would choose it |
|---|---|---|
| Regular mode | Smoother, cooler draw, with one mesh heater carrying the work | All-day use, and whenever you want the longest life from one fill |
| Surge mode | Stronger flavour and visibly thicker vapour, with the second heater joining in | The first draws on a new flavour, or when you want the device to feel like a bigger one |
| The switch on the base | Tightens or opens the draw without touching the power | Tight for short draws, open for long ones – and closed down again when the fill gets low |
| Screen lights off | The glow and the animations stop, the readouts carry on | Overnight, or when you want the cell to reach the end of the fill |
Reading the glowing display
The display is the reason this model exists, and it does more than look good on a counter. It reports the fill level and the battery percentage, and it animates as you draw, including a setting that moves in time with sound. Two cautions from living with it: read the fill figure as a guide rather than as a calibrated count, so treat the last quarter as soon rather than as a number; and the panel is the part that collects scratches and fingerprints first, so it is the part worth keeping away from a pocket full of keys.
Charging, storage and the habits that shorten a device’s life
Charging a 1000 mAh cell
Use a standard charger and keep the high-output adapters away from it. Our own note on this device says the same thing in plain terms: a standard supply, and no high-voltage adapter, so the cell does not get hot. The battery is not replaceable and the body is sealed, which makes charging the one routine you can get wrong for a week without noticing. Expect several charges across a single fill – the 20 ml is the limiting factor here, not the 1000 mAh.
Between sessions
Stand it upright and keep it out of a hot car and off a sunny windowsill. A sealed reservoir left on its side in the warmth is where weeping starts. Our sheet says nothing about drop protection or water resistance for this device, so treat it as an indoor device and do not assume it shrugs off a wet counter or a fall onto tiles.
| What you notice | What usually causes it | What to do about it |
|---|---|---|
| A dry or scorched edge on the flavour | The wick is running ahead of the liquid, most often after a long stretch in Surge | Drop back to Regular for a handful of draws and let the coil catch up |
| Vapour thins and the flavour flattens | Either the fill really is near the end or the cell is low | Read both figures on the display before concluding the device has failed |
| Nothing happens on the draw | A flat cell, or a device that has been left unused long enough to sleep | Charge it for a few minutes and try again; still silent after a charge is a fault, so contact us |
| The readout looks odd or the glow flickers | A panel that has picked up scratches, smears or liquid | Wipe it with a dry cloth and keep it clear of keys and coins |
| The body feels warm while charging | An adapter pushing more current than the cell wants | Unplug it, let it cool, and go back to a standard charger |
| Liquid on the outside of the device | Stored on its side, or left somewhere warm | Stand it upright; if it keeps weeping, stop using it and contact us |
Who this device suits, and who should look at a different 40K
The Rave 40000 is not the right answer for every buyer, and the fastest way to decide is to find your own line in the table below. I have put a verdict in the middle column rather than a feature list, because a feature list is what every other page already gives you.
| Your situation | My verdict on this device | What I would suggest instead |
|---|---|---|
| You want one purchase to cover several weeks | Yes. The 20 ml fill is where the value sits, and the rechargeable cell means it can all be used. | Nothing smaller. Move sideways only for a flavour you prefer. |
| You want to see where you stand at a glance | Yes. Fill and battery in one look is the whole point of the screen. | Nothing – this is the feature you are paying for. |
| You want the biggest possible cloud on every draw | Only partly. Surge delivers the cloud, and it takes the fill with it. | Accept more recharging, or step up the range rather than the mode. |
| You want something discreet and pocketable | No. A 270-degree illuminated panel is not a quiet object. | A plainer device in the same family – the 40k puffs collection holds the rest of this tier. |
| You need a figure our sheet does not carry | Wait. Coil resistance and nicotine strength are both open on our own listing. | Ask us first. Do not buy on a number another shop printed. |
| You are buying for a counter, not a pocket | The carton maths works and the screen sells itself on a shelf. | Read the trade block at the end of this page first. |
Questions buyers send us before ordering
Is a charging cable in the box?
Our own sheet does not list the box contents, so I am not going to invent them for you. If the cable matters, ask us before you order. Treat any listing that prints a full accessory list as that seller’s own claim rather than something the manufacturer publishes.
Which Vozol 40K am I actually looking at?
Vozol sells a Rave, a Star, a Vista and a Rave Swap under the same 40K banner, and their pages run together in search results. This page is the Rave 40000: 20 ml, 1000 mAh, Dual Mesh, glowing display. If a figure you have seen elsewhere does not sit alongside those four, it probably belongs to one of the siblings. Read the model name and the fill volume on the page in front of you.
The panel arrived scratched – what happens next?
Tell us immediately, before the device goes into use, and photograph it as it came out of the pack. A sealed body gives nobody a way to swap a display, so an unboxing problem is worth raising on the first day rather than the first week. After that it becomes a used device and the conversation gets harder for both of us.
How often will I need to reorder?
Work it out from the fill, not the headline. Twenty millilitres at 200 to 300 draws per millilitre lands somewhere between four and six thousand ordinary draws; divide that by your own daily count and you have the answer. If you draw heavily and keep Surge selected, plan for the short end of that range.
Does the taste drift as the fill runs down?
The last fifth of any sealed reservoir tastes a little flatter than the first, because the coil has been heating for thousands of draws by then. What you should not accept is a sharp, scorched edge, which points at a dry wick rather than a low fill. If the taste turns harsh well before the display shows a low level, contact us.
Can I mix flavours in one order?
For single devices, yes – the variation selector carries all 23 and you can put several in the cart. A full carton is a different matter: our own packing note says each carton holds 200 pieces of a single flavour, so a mixed carton is not something the box will give you.
For shops and resellers: cartons, dispatch and what to ask us
Everything above is written for one device. This block is for the people buying by the carton.
Packing is simple to plan around: 200 pieces to a carton, approximately 22.5 kg, and a carton footprint of 560 x 265 x 365 mm. Worth measuring against your racking before you order deep, because the carton is heavier than the piece count suggests.
Orders leave our EU warehouse and travel with tracking; the dispatch window and the estimate for your address are confirmed when you check out. Tell us the flavour split you want before you confirm, because once a consignment has left the warehouse we cannot take it back.
One thing to do before a first order: ask us to confirm coil resistance and nicotine strength, because neither is on our own specification sheet. Everything else on this page is sourced the same way – the puff rating, 20 ml capacity, 1000 mAh cell and Dual Mesh coil are manufacturer figures exactly as our own listing publishes them, and the draw band is our own conversion from published consumption figures rather than a manufacturer claim. If a figure is not on our sheet, we would rather leave the row open than fill it from a competitor’s page.
The rest of the family, including the models that get confused with this one, is listed on the Vozol brand page.
