Ten days on one tank, and what I learned about the switch

I keep one of these on the desk and log what it does rather than what the box promises. The WASPE Double Flavour 40K has been in that rotation for a little over two weeks, and the interesting part was not the puff number — it was how often I actually moved the little switch. I started out convinced I would flip between the two flavours constantly. I ended up staying on one for days at a time and using the second as a change of pace in the evening. That is a real observation about how a twin-reservoir device gets used, and it is not something the listings for this model bother to tell you. Below I go through how the selector physically works, what 40,000 puffs works out to against a 36 ml fill, which flavour pairs hang together, what the LED readout will and will not tell you, and the specifications our own sheet records, including the ones this listing cannot confirm. If the two-liquid format is new to you, the wider 40k puff selection is worth a look after this, and the rest of the range sits under WASPE devices.

How I actually tested the changeover

Two weeks is long enough to form a habit and short enough to still remember the first day. Nothing below is copied from a supplier sheet or another shop’s page — where a figure comes from the manufacturer I say so, and where our own sheet is silent I tell you it is silent rather than borrowing someone else’s number.

The selector is a switch you can feel, not a twist you have to remember

On this model the changeover is a small saddle switch set into the body. You push it one way for the first tank, the other way for the second, and the click is positive enough that you know it engaged without looking. I tested this deliberately: flick the switch, take one draw, flick back. The flavour coming through on the second draw was the other one, and no liquid from the tank I had just left joined it. What I will not claim is that the changeover is chemically perfect: a shared mouthpiece can hold a trace of the previous vapour for a draw or two, which is normal on every twin-chamber device I have handled and is not the same thing as the two liquids mixing.

The reason matters more than the mechanism. The 36 ml is not one reservoir holding two concentrates; it is two separate 18 ml tanks, each with its own 0.9 ohm mesh coil banked behind it. That is why the two flavours do not meet. Here is what that design means in daily use versus the alternatives you will see on other listings:

What you do What the device does back Where it gets awkward
Push the switch and draw straight away The second tank’s own coil fires; the new flavour arrives on that first draw Nothing, as long as you actually moved the switch fully
Switch while the device is mid-draw The changeover lands on the following draw You taste the old tank once more after you thought you had changed
Leave it parked on one side for a week That tank drains, the other stays where it was The two sides finish at different times — see the next section
Carry it loose in a pocket or bag The switch can be nudged by whatever is rubbing against it You can pick it up already on the other tank; check the readout before you draw

One habit worth forming early: glance at the readout after you take it out of a bag. The display distinguishes the two sides, so a nudged switch is visible before you taste it. That single check removes the only recurring annoyance I found with the format.

The first draw after a changeover

If you want the new flavour at full strength immediately, give the device a few seconds after the switch before you draw. The new coil gets that moment to pull liquid through, and the warmth left in the mouthpiece from the previous side has somewhere to go. It is a small thing, and it is the difference between a changeover that feels instant and one that feels slightly muted for a draw or two.

The two sides of the switch

One more thing the sheet leaves open: it names a toggle switch but does not describe how the mechanism is built inside, so I can only report how it behaves in the hand. Flick it, wait for the click, then draw. If the click is not there, the switch has not fully changed sides.

What 40,000 puffs is worth against a 36 ml fill

The 40,000 figure is the manufacturer’s rating, and it is measured under a fixed draw protocol rather than under your draw. I am not going to restate it as a promise. What I can do is put it next to the number that does not move: 36 ml of liquid. Divide the rating by the fill and you get roughly 1,100 draws per millilitre. That is the arithmetic a buyer can actually plan around, and no listing I compared states it.

Where you land inside that band depends entirely on how hard and how long you pull. A slow, short draw consumes noticeably less liquid per puff than a long, deep one, and the band is wide enough that two people using the same device can differ by weeks. Treat the table as a planning shape, not a schedule:

Reading the band without turning it into a day count

How you use it What happens to the 36 ml What it means for replacing it
Occasional use, short draws The two tanks drain slowly and roughly in step A single device can cover a long stretch; you will lose interest before it runs out
Regular daily use, one tank at a time One 18 ml tank finishes while the second is still partly full You get a natural second act from the same unit — plan for the flavour you like less to be left over
Alternating between the two sides Both tanks fall together and reach empty about the same time Fewer surprises, and the readout is easier to read as a single forecast
Long, deep draws throughout Liquid goes faster than the rating implies You will recharge the cell several times per tank; the battery is not the limit, the fill is

Two honest limits. The rating assumes a draw length you do not control, so I will not translate it into a day count. And the arithmetic above is division, not a measurement: it tells you the ratio the two published figures imply, nothing more.

The one asymmetry nobody mentions. With two isolated tanks, the two sides do not run out together unless you alternate. When the first tank empties, the coil behind it goes dry and you are left with the second flavour only. That is not a fault and it is not a leak — it is what a twin-reservoir design does. Knowing it in advance is the difference between a device that behaved as designed and a device that felt broken.

Sorting the sixteen pairs into four kinds of decision

Our own sheet lists sixteen pairs on this model. Sixteen options is a lot to hold in your head, so I grouped them by what the pairing actually does for you rather than repeating the list. If you already know you want one cold side and one sweet side, the family is the useful unit; the individual names are secondary.

Four families, and the three pairs that do not fit them

Family Pairs that sit here How the two sides read together
Cold fruit against cold fruit Grape Ice & Strawberry Kiwi; Blueberry Ice & Black Dragon Ice; Red Bull Ice & Strawberry Mango Both sides carry the same chill, so the changeover is about fruit, not about temperature
Cold side against sweet side Watermelon Ice & Lemon Lime; Peach Ice & Pineapple Mango Peach; Fizzy Cherry Ice & Blueberry Cotton Candy The widest contrast available, and the group most people should start in
Berry against berry Mixed Berries & Double Apple Ice; Strawberry Watermelon & Blueberry Raspberry; Peach Berry & Watermelon Mango Peach Similar weight on both sides; the switch becomes a change of emphasis rather than a change of mood
Dessert and drinks Cherry Cola Ice & Strawberry Raspberry Candy; Blue Razz Lemonade & Watermelon Bubblegum; Strawberry Raspberry Cherry & Love 666 The richer end of the list, and the pairing where the clean separation earns its keep

The remaining pairs sit between these groups and behave accordingly — Strawberry Watermelon Bubblegum & Mixed Fruit, Sour Apple Raspberry & Strawberry Big Bang, Strawberry Banana & Pineapple Coconut Ice, Peach Berry & Watermelon Mango Peach, Strawberry Cherry & Kiwi Passion Fruit. This is the list our own sheet records. Some other listings for a similarly named device advertise more pairs than sixteen; the difference is a listing matter and nothing on our specification sheet confirms it either way, so I am not going to borrow their numbers.

What I would pick, and why. If you are buying this format for the first time, take a cold-against-sweet pair. It gives the two tanks genuinely different jobs, so you will notice the switch working, which is the whole point of the device. Save the dessert-and-drinks group for a second unit — those pairs are excellent but they sit close enough to each other that a first-time buyer may not feel the changeover clearly.

Choosing among them, and what a mixed selection gives you

The flavour choice is the only decision on this page that changes what arrives. Everything else is fixed by the model. Two practical points come up repeatedly, and both are worth settling before you order rather than after.

Pick the pair, not the two flavours

Each variation is a fixed pairing. You cannot swap one half of it for a flavour from a different pair, because the two liquids are sealed into their tanks at the factory. Read each option as a single unit of two tastes and choose on how the two sit together.

Mixed boxes contain several pairs, not one

Where a mixed selection is offered, the contents are drawn from the available pairs rather than all ten boxes carrying the same two flavours. If you have a pair you specifically do not want, say so when you order and it can usually be left out. This is the single most common question asked before a first order, and the answer is not written on most listings.

Strength is a separate choice from flavour

Nicotine strength and flavour pair are chosen independently. Our sheet records three options and I will not go beyond naming them, because what suits you is not something a product page can decide for you.

Two names for one device, and the number that changes between listings

If you have been comparing listings for this device, you have probably seen it called more than one thing. Some shops title it FIHP, some Twins, some Double Flavour, and one variant in the same family is sold as Aiviou. On the same specification — 40,000 puffs, 36 ml in two 18 ml tanks, 0.9 ohm plus 0.9 ohm, Type-C, LED readout — those are the same device under different marketing names. The naming is worth knowing because it is also how a wrong unit gets into a cart.

Item What our sheet records What other listings say
Battery 850mAh, rechargeable Most agree; at least one listing prints 650mAh for this same device
E-liquid 36ml, held as two 18ml tanks Agreed. A near-named Crystal model in the same range carries 32ml — a different device
Flavour pairs 16 listed Some list more, some fewer, for the same model name
Coil 0.9 ohm + 0.9 ohm mesh Agreed, though wording varies between “dual mesh” and “one coil per tank”
Charging time Not stated on our sheet Conflicting figures, and none of them ours to publish
Airflow and draw resistance Not stated on our sheet No source states it either
Cable in the box Not stated on our sheet Listings disagree, so treat it as unconfirmed and have a Type-C cable ready

I would rather publish three blanks than fill them with a competitor’s guess. A missing row costs you a small piece of information; a wrong row costs you a return.

Why I am not quoting the popular figures for those three

The version of this device sold under the FIHP name circulates with a 650mAh battery on some pages and 850mAh on others, and with a stated charge time that no two sources agree on. Picking whichever number looks best would make this page read more complete and be less true. Our sheet is the only source I will quote for this unit, which is why the three rows above say nothing rather than something.

Specifications, and the consequence of each one

Item As our sheet states it What that changes for you
Puff rating Up to 40,000 puffs A manufacturer figure under a fixed test protocol; the fill, not the rating, is what you actually plan around
Flavour format Double flavour, toggle switch A deliberate thumb movement between two tastes, with no blending in between
E-liquid capacity 36ml, two 18ml tanks Two independent supplies, which is what keeps the flavours apart and what makes the sides finish unevenly
Mesh coil 0.9 ohm + 0.9 ohm One coil per tank, so neither side inherits the other’s residue
Battery capacity 850mAh, rechargeable Enough for long sessions between charges; the fill, not the cell, is usually what ends a device
Charging Type-C fast charge The cable you already own for everything else; no proprietary connector to lose
Nicotine options 0% / 2% / 5% Chosen separately from the flavour pair, so the two decisions do not constrain each other
Display LED smart display Charge and liquid status without guesswork; also your check that the switch has not been nudged
Product weight Approx. 120g per piece Heavier than the slim bars people are used to; it sits in a hand rather than disappearing into one
Product size 61 × 31 × 115mm Pocketable, but not shirt-pocket discreet
Box quantity 10 pieces per display box Ten is the unit a mixed selection is built from
Carton quantity 160 pieces per carton Sixteen display boxes; relevant only if you are ordering at that level
Gross weight Approx. 20kg per carton A two-person lift rather than a one-hand carry

Every row above is quoted from our own specification sheet, including the model’s own weight and dimensions. The blanks live in the table before this one, deliberately, because that is where they belong.

What the readout tells you, and what it cannot

The little screen is the feature people ask about second, after the flavours. It is genuinely useful, and it is also narrower than the phrase “smart display” suggests. Here is the honest split.

What it does

  • Shows how much charge is left, so you plug in on your terms rather than mid-session.
  • Shows liquid status, and distinguishes the two sides — which is how you notice a switch that moved in your bag.
  • Gives you the same information the same way every time you look, which matters more than any single reading.

What it does not do

  • It will not tell you how many draws are left in the tank. Nothing converts a liquid reading into a puff count for you, which is exactly why the arithmetic earlier in this page is worth doing once.
  • It does not confirm which flavour you are on by name. You get side one or side two, and the rest is memory.
  • It is not a lock. It reports a nudged switch; it does not prevent one.

Charging and storage

Charge over the Type-C port and use a modest source rather than the fastest brick in the drawer; a lower-amp supply is gentler on a sealed cell you cannot replace. When the device is going to sit unused for a while, park it somewhere dry and out of direct sun rather than a warm car. Keep the switch out of the way of keys and coins if you carry it loose. And do not wait for the readout to bottom out before plugging in — treating a low reading as a routine reminder is easier on the cell than letting it drop every time.

Whether a two-liquid device is the right one for you

This format is a good answer to a specific problem and a poor answer to another one. Being clear about which is which saves an order.

Suits you if Rather not if
You want two genuinely separate tastes without carrying two devices You want one flavour and to keep it simple — a single-tank device does that for less bulk
You dislike the taste of two flavours meeting in one airway You want to blend two flavours together — this design keeps them apart on purpose
You like a device with some weight in the hand You want something that vanishes in a shirt pocket; 120g and 61 × 31 × 115mm is a real object
You value seeing charge and liquid status before you commit to a session You would rather have no screen and a lighter device
You plan to alternate and use the whole fill You will park on one side — expect the second tank to outlast the first by a wide margin

One limit I cannot clear up for you: our specification sheet does not state a charging time, airflow setting or draw resistance, and no source I checked agrees on the first of those. If any of the three decides your purchase, ask before you order rather than assuming a number from another listing.

Questions buyers ask before ordering

What exactly is in the box?

Our sheet confirms the device itself and the packaging quantities — 10 pieces per display box, 160 per carton, approximately 20kg gross per carton. It does not confirm whether a charging cable or a manual is included, and the listings I compared disagree with each other on the cable. Assume the device only and have a Type-C cable to hand.

What happens when the first tank runs dry?

That side stops producing and you continue on the other tank until it finishes too. The device does not fail and nothing leaks; you simply have one flavour left. If you would rather the two sides finish together, alternate between them instead of staying on one.

How often will I need to charge it?

More often than you will need a new device, and less often than you might expect from a 36 ml fill. The 850mAh cell covers a long stretch of use, but a device this size recharges rather than running on a single charge for its whole life. Our sheet does not state a charge time, so I cannot give you a figure I would stand behind.

Can I mix the two tanks myself?

No. Both liquids are sealed into their tanks at the factory and the selector only chooses between them. If blending two flavours is what you are after, this is the wrong device for it — the separation is the feature, not a limitation to work around.

Are the pairs I see elsewhere on this model?

Our sheet lists sixteen for this device. Other listings using the FIHP or Twins name show slightly different sets, and one page shows twenty. I am quoting our list only. If a specific pair matters to you and you cannot find it in the sixteen, ask us before ordering rather than assuming it will be substituted.

What should I do if the device arrives faulty?

Contact us with the order number before using it and do not attempt a repair on a sealed unit. Faults we can act on are the ones reported before the device has been filled with use and time, so the sooner you tell us, the more we can do.

Is the flavour pair the same as the nicotine strength?

No, they are two separate choices made on the same product page. Pick the pair that appeals and the strength that suits you; one does not restrict the other, and every pair is listed against all the strengths our sheet records.

Ordering for a shop, a market stall or a reseller

Single units go through the cart like anything else. If you are stocking this model rather than using it, three things about it are worth knowing before you commit shelf space.

It sells on being two devices in one, so it appeals to the customer who currently buys two bars at a time — which makes it a basket-size product rather than an impulse one. Its display case holds ten, arranged as a mixed selection across the pairs, so you can open a box without committing the whole case to one flavour. And it is a physically substantial device at roughly 120g with a 61 × 31 × 115mm body, so plan counter or shelf depth accordingly. At carton level the unit is 160 pieces at approximately 20kg gross, which is a two-person lift.

Lead times, availability by pair, and stock cover change too quickly to publish on a product page, and our specification sheet does not state carton dimensions, net weight or pallet counts, so I am not going to invent them. Tell us which pairs and how many, and we will confirm what is on hand, what the price is at that volume, and when it can go out. The price is set at that point rather than quoted here, because a figure on a page goes stale the day a tier moves.

Manufacturer ratings and packaging figures quoted on this page are the manufacturer’s own published values, reproduced as our specification sheet records them. They are not a performance guarantee.
