Six weeks on the shop counter with the 4-tank WASPE

This one has been on our counter since late July and it has gone out with four regulars in that time. That is about six weeks of watching other people use it, on top of the fortnight I carried it myself. What follows is what I actually observed, checked against the manufacturer’s own sheet and against the rest of the WASPE range we stock. Where the market and the sheet disagree, I say so rather than picking whichever number sounds better.

What stood out in the first week

Nobody who picked it up guessed it held four tanks. Every single person assumed the twist was cosmetic. The second thing they said, almost word for word, was how heavy it is for something you are meant to carry. Both impressions are accurate, and both are worth knowing before you order.

What arrives in the box

One device, in a printed carton, in the flavour set you choose. Our own listing does not state that a charging cable is included, so we are not going to claim one is. Bring a Type-C cable, or ask us before you order if that matters to you.

Size and weight, in the hand

The manufacturer states 150g and 53 x 46 x 138mm. That is closer to a small flask than to a bar-style disposable, and it is the widest body in our WASPE range. It sits flat in a jacket pocket and it pulls at a lighter trouser pocket. If you want something you forget you are carrying, this is the wrong device and I would rather tell you that here.

Inside: four tanks, one coil each, and a lift-and-twist top

Everything else about this device depends on this part, so it is worth understanding properly before you buy. It is also the part no listing in the market explains, which is why the same device is advertised as four flavours, eight flavours and twelve flavours in different places.

How the lift-and-twist selection works

Lift the mouthpiece and turn it. That movement lines the mouthpiece up with a different internal chamber and its own dedicated coil. There is nothing to unscrew, no pod to pull out and nothing to fill. The manufacturer’s own sheet states four independent mesh coils at 1.0ohm, one per chamber.

Why the count is eight and not four

Four chambers give you four straightforward single-flavour positions. The positions between them give you four more, drawing from two neighbouring chambers at once. That is where the eight comes from. It is not eight separate reservoirs, and it is not every possible pairing of the twelve flavours.

Where the number twelve comes from

Twelve is the number of factory flavour sets, not the number of positions on the dial. Our listing carries twelve sets and each one fixes four flavours into the four chambers. You choose a set; you cannot rearrange which flavour sits in which chamber.

Chamber What sits behind it What one position draws
Chamber 1 Its own 1.0ohm mesh coil Flavour 1 of your set, on its own
Chamber 2 Its own 1.0ohm mesh coil Flavour 2 on its own, plus the blend between 1 and 2
Chamber 3 Its own 1.0ohm mesh coil Flavour 3 on its own, plus the blend between 2 and 3
Chamber 4 Its own 1.0ohm mesh coil Flavour 4 on its own, plus the blend between 3 and 4

The four single positions plus the four neighbouring blends are the eight the manufacturer advertises. A blend of chamber 1 and chamber 4 is not one of them.

How long the 68ml actually lasts

Our sheet states 68ml total capacity and up to 180,000 puffs. Those two figures sit uncomfortably next to each other: divide one by the other and you get about 2,647 draws from every millilitre. Published guidance for disposable devices puts ordinary consumption at roughly 100 to 300 draws per millilitre, because a longer or harder draw spends liquid faster than a short one. On that basis the liquid supports a very long run, but nothing close to the printed ceiling. Treat 180,000 as a manufacturer figure measured under fixed laboratory draw conditions, not as a count you will reach.

The other way to read it is by the calendar. The table below works the same 68ml out at different daily habits, so you can place yourself rather than take a number on trust.

If you get through 68ml works out at roughly Or, at the generous end
About 100 draws a day 68 days Up to 204 days
About 200 draws a day 34 days Up to 102 days
About 300 draws a day 23 days Up to 68 days
Long, slow draws all day Shorter than the row above The liquid goes first, every time

Those are planning figures, not a guarantee. They come from the 68ml our own listing states and from published consumption ranges, not from a bench test of this device.

What happens when one tank empties first

It will, and sooner than you expect. The chamber you like best is the chamber you draw from most, so it runs down ahead of the other three. This is the most common complaint I hear from people who have owned one for a month, and I have not found a page that warns anyone about it.

How the device behaves as a tank runs down

The taste thins out first, then turns dry. Nothing shuts that chamber off and nothing moves your remaining liquid into it. The fix is simply to turn the mouthpiece to another chamber and keep going; a spent chamber stays spent.

Why the screen matters here

The manufacturer describes a smart LED screen with real-time indicators, and retail listings describe it as showing battery level and the liquid in each chamber alongside the chamber you have selected. That is the one piece of equipment that turns uneven draining from a surprise into something you can plan around. Watch it weekly rather than daily and you will not be caught out.

What this means for a long session

If you settle on one flavour and never move the dial, you are effectively carrying a single-tank device with three tanks of dead weight. The variety is only real if you rotate deliberately, and that is a habit rather than a feature.

The draw, the battery and the Type-C port

Retail listings for this model describe it as draw-activated, and our own specification row names no fire button, so there is nothing to press before you draw. The airflow is moderately open. It is not adjustable and I would not call it a tight mouth-to-lung draw; if you want a narrow pull, look elsewhere in the range.

One coil at a time, not four at once

Only the chamber you have selected is being heated. The other three coils sit idle, which is why switching flavours does not burn through the liquid in the chambers you are not using. Give a cold chamber a second between draws; long back-to-back pulls on one chamber can outrun the wick.

The honest word on 650mAh

Our own specification row states a 650mAh rechargeable cell. That is a modest battery for a device holding this much liquid, and it means charging is a routine part of owning it rather than a rare event. A sensible planning assumption is a top-up most days if you draw heavily.

What we know about charging speed

We do not have a manufacturer figure, so we are not publishing one. A retailer elsewhere in the market reports roughly 45 minutes from empty on a standard adapter, and we pass that on as their figure rather than ours. What we can state is that the port is USB Type-C, that the cell is rechargeable, and that the cell is the part of this device most likely to make you reach for a cable mid-week.

Where the listings and the sheet do not line up

Several disagreements follow this device around the market. None of them is hidden by us, and in each case we publish what our own sheet states. If you have read a different number somewhere else, this is where it came from.

The question How other listings answer it Our answer, and why
How much liquid is inside? Several say 60ml, worked out as four chambers of 15ml 68ml total. That is the figure on our own specification row, and we follow our own listing
How much does one weigh? Anything from 120g to 180g, depending on the page 150g per piece and 53 x 46 x 138mm, exactly as our own row states them
What is in the carton? Carton gross weight given as 26kg by at least one trade page Approx. 28kg gross and 160 pieces, per our own packing row. Weigh your first carton
Does the screen show liquid level? One page says battery only; two say battery, liquid and the active chamber Our row says real-time indicators. We do not claim a puff counter, because our sheet does not name one
What is the puff rating based on? Widely repeated as a straight 180,000 with no qualification A manufacturer figure under fixed draw conditions. See the planning band further up this page

Charging it and keeping it alive

Very little is asked of you here. What there is matters more than usual on a device with four separate chambers and four separate coils.

Charging without cooking the cell

Use a standard Type-C cable and an ordinary adapter rather than a high-wattage fast charger, and take it off when the screen reads full. Leaving a small cell plugged in overnight, night after night, is the quickest way to shorten the part of this device you cannot replace.

Storing it and carrying it

Keep it out of a hot car and away from direct sun. Because the mouthpiece is the selector, carry it with the top seated rather than half-lifted, or pocket lint ends up in the opening you draw through. Keep it in the carton when it travels in a bag.

Looking after four coils at once

Each coil is only as good as its chamber. If one chamber starts to taste dry, stop drawing on it and rotate. A chamber run to the point of a burnt hit will keep tasting that way even if you come back to it days later, so the discipline is simply to move on early.

Who this one suits, and who should look elsewhere

This device is not for everyone who likes the idea of it, and the two lists below are the quickest way to decide. It carries the widest spread of flavour positions in the WASPE range we stock, which makes it the obvious pick for some buyers and an awkward one for others.

Buy it if Leave it if
You tire of one flavour within a week and want four to hand without carrying four devices You want something slim, light and invisible in a shirt pocket
You want the longest run between purchases this range offers and you will top the battery up along the way You expect one charge to match one fill; the 650mAh cell will not do that
You will actually rotate the dial instead of settling on chamber one You want a tight, narrow draw or an airflow you can adjust
You want the liquid level of each chamber visible rather than guessed at You want to refill a chamber once it is empty; this is a sealed, pre-filled system

If the right-hand column describes you, the lighter builds on the WASPE brand page will serve you better, and most of them are easier to carry all day.

The questions buyers ask me before ordering

These come up on the counter and in messages, answered as shortly as I can manage. How the device works is covered further up the page, so this section sticks to everything else.

Do I need to bring a charging cable?

Yes, plan on bringing one. Our listing does not state that a cable is in the box, so we will not promise one. Any standard Type-C cable will do.

What do I do if the device develops a fault?

Keep the carton and note the code printed on it before you throw anything away. Manufacturers routinely ask for that code before they will replace a unit, and without it a replacement is much harder to arrange. Then contact us and we will take it from there.

Can I get the same twelve sets in a different nicotine strength?

Our listing carries 0%, 2% and 5% nicotine salt options. Which sets are stocked in which strength moves around, so tell us the set you want and we will confirm what is actually on the shelf before you commit.

How can I tell a genuine one from a copy?

Check the security label on the carton and the code that goes with it, and keep the carton itself. Copies of high-capacity devices are common, and the label is the check the manufacturer provides.

How often would I be reordering?

Far less often than with a bar-style device, which is the whole point of the fill. Match the planning band earlier on this page to your own daily habit. If you sit between two rows, order one and see how far it goes before you order a second. The 180k puffs collection holds a single device, so there is no larger model in it to step up to.

Trade orders, packing and what to confirm

For shops and resellers, the figures below are the ones our own listing states rather than a third party’s. Where a trade page elsewhere disagrees, our number is the one we will hold ourselves to.

Trade detail As our listing states it
Inner box 10 piezas por caja
Master carton 160 piezas por cartón
Carton gross weight Approx. 28kg, roughly 175g per piece once packaging is counted
Flavour sets per order Twelve sets available; mixed cartons arranged case by case
Stock position Confirmed when you order, because it varies by nicotine strength
If a unit arrives faulty Report it with the carton code; replacements go through the manufacturer’s process

Two things are worth checking before you commit to a carton. Weigh the first one you receive against the 28kg above, because trade pages elsewhere print 26kg and only your own scale settles it. And confirm that the nicotine strengths you need are in stock, since the 0% and 5% builds move independently of the 2%.

The device, its coils, its battery and its capacity figures are all stated by the manufacturer. We are the retailer, and where we have passed on a figure that is not ours we have said so at the point we used it.
