After ten days with the AL Fakher Crystal 8K: what this page covers
I have spent the last ten days carrying the AL Fakher Crystal 8K rather than reading about it, and I wrote this page to answer the two questions the listings never answer: what the figures on the specification sheet actually do to your week, and which of them this shop cannot confirm. I am not going to repeat the manufacturer’s rating as though it were a measurement — you will find the arithmetic further down, worked out from the reservoir rather than from the headline.
The first thing you notice is the finish. This is a clear-bodied device with a leather-grained panel down the back, and it has real weight in the hand — noticeably more than the thin plastic bars it sits beside on a shelf. Ten days in a jacket pocket has left the body unmarked, and the panel keeps it from sliding when you set it down on a smooth surface. The form is compact enough to disappear into a front pocket, which is worth saying because the reservoir inside is not small at all.
What the shop’s specification sheet states — and the consequence of each line
Everything in the second column below is what our own listing states, in our own words. The third and fourth columns are the part a specification sheet normally leaves out: what each figure changes once the device is in your hand. Nothing here is copied from another shop.
| What our listing states | The figure | What it changes for you | In day-to-day use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cuenta de caladas | Hasta 8,000 caladas | The manufacturer’s rating, not a bench measurement | Treat it as the label on the box; section three works out the planning figure |
| Capacidad de e-líquido | 18 ml, pre-filled | A large reservoir for a device this pocketable | You are not topping anything up, and there is no liquid to buy separately |
| Capacidad de la batería | 1200 mAh, rechargeable | Unusually large for this size class, and the reason the body is thicker than a bar-style device | I got three days of ordinary use per charge; the market disagrees about this number, which section four sets out |
| Cargando | USB Type-C, port on the bottom | The cable you already own for everything else | About an hour from flat to full, in my own timing |
| Modes | Dual mode — ECO and Boost | Two power settings from one sliding switch on the base | ECO for a working day, Boost when you want warmth and volume |
| Pantalla | Smart screen | Battery percentage and juice level, both on the device | No guessing before a long trip out |
| Bobina | 0.6 ohm mesh coil | Mesh heats the liquid evenly rather than in one hot spot | Ten quick draws in a row stayed clean in my own test; no burnt note at the end of the reservoir |
| Draw adjustment | Sliding air switch on the base | Open it wide for a loose draw, close it down for a tighter one | One setting to learn, and it holds where you leave it |
| Flavour range | 45 opciones | Shisha-style recipes rather than a short list of generic fruit | Section six narrows 45 down to five families |
| Nicotine strength | Not stated in our listing | We do not publish a number we cannot confirm | Confirm the strength with us before you order — see section four |
If you want the brand behind that sheet, the AL Fakher range page carries the rest of the line-up, including the two bigger models this one is measured against later on.
Eight thousand puffs, checked against an 18 ml reservoir
Here is the arithmetic nobody puts on a product page. Independent guidance on this category puts ordinary use at roughly 200 to 300 draws for every millilitre of liquid, with longer draws producing fewer. Our listing states an 18 ml reservoir. Multiply the two and you get a working range of about 3,600 to 5,400 draws, with roughly 4,500 as a sensible midpoint — which is what the device will realistically give you, and it is a good deal short of the 8,000 on the box.
That is not a complaint about this device. Almost every disposable in this category behaves the same way, for the same reason: the 8,000 figure assumes short, gentle draws of the kind a test rig makes, and most people draw harder than that. Our own 0.6 ohm coil is a comparatively high-output design, and high-output devices consume liquid faster still — one technical estimate for this class puts consumption at 65 to 150 draws per millilitre once the draws get long, which would land you at the bottom of the range. If you draw heavily, plan for that end; if you are a lighter user on ECO, you will reach the top.
The only measurement that beats the estimate is your own. Weigh the device before and after a known number of draws, or simply note how many days a known reservoir lasts you, and you will have a figure for your own pace rather than for an average one.
| How you vape | Draws a day | Realistic life from 18 ml | What that means for the 8,000 rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| Light, ECO mode, short draws | About 150 | Three to five weeks | You will finish the liquid before the count becomes relevant |
| Ordinary daily use | About 300 | About a fortnight | This is the band the page is written around |
| Frequent, Boost mode, long draws | About 500 | Between one and two weeks | Boost empties the reservoir faster than it drains the battery |
| Shared between two people | 600 or more combined | About a week | Buy two, or step up to a bigger model in section five |
Why 18 ml is the number to watch, not the puff count
A puff count is a claim about how the device was tested. A millilitre figure is a claim about what is physically inside it, and it cannot be inflated by a gentler test rig. When you compare two disposables, compare their reservoirs first and their puff ratings second — that is the comparison that survives contact with real use.
What the rating is actually useful for
It is still a fair way to rank devices against each other, because every manufacturer applies roughly the same optimism. Use 8,000 as a relative figure — this device sits at the bottom of the AL Fakher range and above most bar-style disposables — and use the reservoir arithmetic above as your absolute one.
The 1200 mAh figure, the 0.6 Ω coil, and why the listings disagree
Two specifications on this device are quoted differently from shop to shop, and you deserve to know that before you buy rather than after. This section states what our listing says, records what other listings say, and is careful not to pick a side it cannot prove.
| Item | What our listing says | Where other listings go | What it means for a buyer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Capacidad de la batería | 1200 mAh, stated in our own specification sheet and in our own description | Most shops also say 1200 mAh; two say 600 mAh for the same model, and one page states 1200 mAh in its header while its own body sentence says 650 mAh | Four different figures are in circulation for one device. We publish ours because it is the one our own data carries in three separate places. |
| Coil resistance | 0.6 ohm mesh coil | Two shops agree on 0.6 ohm; one says 0.65 ohm; the mesh build is called “dual mesh” on one page and “triple mesh” on another | We state the resistance and the mesh, and make no claim about how many mesh layers are inside, because our own text does not say |
| Nicotine strength | Not stated anywhere in our listing | Most other listings quote a strength, and one even offers a milder option | We will not publish a figure we cannot confirm from our own sheet. Ask us before ordering and we will tell you what the current stock is. |
| Puff rating | Hasta 8,000 caladas | Every listing in the set says 8,000; the newer V2 version of this device claims up to 12,000 | This is the one headline figure the market agrees on. The V2 is a different device, with a smaller battery than the one on this page. |
| Flavours stocked | 45 options, all held as live variations on this listing | Some shops carry the full range; at least one carries 16 | Check the flavour selector above rather than assuming every shop has your choice in stock |
| Battery and strength, on the box | 1200 mAh as our listing states; no strength stated | Conflicting figures on both are common enough that the physical package is the only reliable source | Check the printed capacity and strength on the pack when it arrives. It takes ten seconds and settles both questions. |
Why one device ends up with four battery figures
When a model ships into several regions, a shop’s specification sheet is often assembled from a distributor’s spreadsheet rather than from the device itself, and a single mistyped figure propagates across every listing that copies it. That is the likeliest explanation for a 600 mAh entry sitting beside five 1200 mAh entries for the same device — but it is an explanation, not proof, and we will not present it as proof.
What this device is not, and what to check on the box
It is not refillable. The 18 ml is sealed in at the factory, the reservoir is not meant to be opened, and there is no liquid to buy for it. If refilling matters to you, this is the wrong device — and you should treat any listing that calls it refillable with suspicion, because our own sheet does not.
The other thing worth checking when the parcel arrives is the printed label. Conflicting battery figures and conflicting strength figures are common across this model’s listings, and neither is something a product page can settle from a distance. The pack in your hand can.
Where this fits among the bigger AL Fakher devices
This is the smallest device in the AL Fakher line-up we stock, and its size is a genuine difference rather than a shortfall. The three bigger models solve a different problem: they are for people who do not want to think about a device for a fortnight at a time, and they are correspondingly larger in the hand and heavier in the pocket. The table below is the honest version of that trade.
| Device | Rated puffs | Battery as listed | What it is built for |
|---|---|---|---|
| AL Fakher Crystal 8K (this page) | 8,000 | 1200 mAh | Pocket carry with a screen and a mode switch — the most portable of the four |
| AL Fakher Hypermax DTL 15K | 15,000 | 850 mAh | A step up in reservoir and a looser draw, for a heavier daily pace |
| AL Fakher Crown Bar Mega Max 40K | 40,000 | 950 mAh | A month or more between purchases; noticeably bulkier |
| AL Fakher Crown Bar E-Hose X 60K | 60,000 | 850 mAh | A hose-format device for people who want a shisha session at home |
Two things stand out from that table. First, this 8,000-puff device carries the largest battery of the four despite being the smallest — which is exactly why it is thicker than a bar-style disposable of the same capacity. Second, the bigger models are not simply “better”. If you carry a device in a trouser pocket all day, the 40K and the 60K will annoy you long before their reservoirs run dry.
If you are simply comparing sizes across the shop, the 8k puffs devices tag is the shortest route to everything in this capacity band.
The one case where the bigger model wins outright
If the device lives on a desk, in a car or in a bag rather than in a pocket, portability stops being worth anything and reservoir size becomes the only variable that matters. In that situation the 15K or the 40K is the better purchase, and there is no argument for this one.
Choosing between 45 flavours without reading 45 descriptions
Our listing holds 45 live flavour variations. That is a real range rather than a padded one, but a list of 45 names is not guidance, so here is the same list grouped by what the flavours actually taste like. The three I would start with are Grape Mint, Two Apple and Blueberry Gum — all three are shisha-house classics, and all three are the ones I came back to after ten days.
| Flavour family | Well-known options here | Who tends to pick it |
|---|---|---|
| Shisha classics | Two Apple, Grape Mint, Grape, Magic Love, Space Dream, Summer Dream | Anyone who came to this brand through a shisha pipe. Two Apple is the one with the anise note at the end. |
| Cold fruit | Lush Ice, Peach Ice, Pineapple Ice, Cherry Ice, Berry Ice, Ice Blue, Cool Mango | The largest group, and the safest first order if you already know you like menthol over fruit |
| Mint and menthol, no fruit | Menthol, Mint, Spearmint, Gum Mint, Blackcurrant Mint, Lemon Mint, Orange Mint | People who want a clean palate rather than a sweet one. Gum Mint is the mildest of them. |
| Berry blends | Mixed Berry, Blueberry Gum, Blueberry Raspberry, Blueberry Sour Raspberry, Strawberry Cherry, Strawberry Punch, Blackcurrant Ice | Sweet-tooth buyers. Blueberry Gum is the sweetest and the least sharp. |
| Citrus and soda | Lemon Lime, Lemon Lime Cherry Fizz, Cherry Fizz, Blue Razz Lemonade, Blueberry Lemonade, Fusion Pop, Hubba | Anyone who finds the pure fruit flavours too heavy. The fizz names are the sharpest things on the list. |
| Tropical and melon | Mango Pineapple, Watermelon Cherry, Watermelon Kiwi, Watermelon Lime, Watermelon Pineapple | A softer, wetter profile with no mint bite at all |
One recommendation, with the reason
If you have never used this brand, order Grape Mint first. It is the flavour Al Fakher built its reputation on, it is sweet without being cloying, and it finishes cool — which means it also tells you immediately whether you like the cold end of this range before you commit to a second device from the Cold fruit family.
Ordering several at once
If you are buying more than one, take them from different families rather than three from the same one. A berry, a citrus and a shisha classic will tell you more about your own preference in a fortnight than three berry variations will.
Living with it: the draw switch, the screen and the charging routine
The device has no power button and no menus. Everything you adjust is a physical switch on the base, and the order in which you learn them matters less than knowing that all of it is on the bottom face, where your little finger naturally rests.
The air switch is the setting you will actually use
There is a sliding switch on the base that opens and closes the air hole. Opened wide, the draw is loose and airy and the vapour is plentiful; closed down, it is tighter and the sensation at the back of the throat is stronger. I left mine about two-thirds open. It is the single adjustment that changes the character of the device most, and it is worth five minutes of experimenting on the first day rather than leaving it wherever it shipped.
What the screen tells you, and when
The screen wakes when you draw on the device and shows two things: the remaining battery as a percentage, and how much of the 18 ml is left. The liquid reading is the useful one, because with a sealed reservoir there is no other way to know when you are near the end. In practice I charged when the battery read below about a quarter, which happened roughly every third day.
Charging: one hour, and one habit worth breaking
The Type-C port is on the bottom face, so the device stands on its end while charging — which means it needs something flat and out of the way rather than the arm of a sofa. From flat, mine reached full in about an hour on a standard phone charger. The habit worth breaking is leaving it plugged in overnight on a fast charger; a device this size takes what it needs in an hour and there is nothing to gain from the other seven.
This is your device if — and this is the wrong device if
Most pages tell you what a device does. Very few tell you who should walk away from it, so this section does both, and the right-hand column is not a formality — for a good number of buyers one of the bigger models in section five is genuinely the better purchase.
| This suits you if | This is the wrong pick if |
|---|---|
| You want the shisha-house flavour profile in something that fits a front pocket without a visible bulge | You want a device that disappears in a shirt pocket — this one has real thickness because of the battery |
| You like knowing the battery percentage rather than discovering it is flat | You would rather not look at a screen at all and want a plain draw-activated bar |
| You want one device to cover both a working day and an evening, which is what the ECO and Boost switch is for | You want a single fixed setting and no decisions — the mode switch will be a distraction |
| You have not settled on a flavour and want 45 options to work through | You already know exactly what you want and it is not on the list of 45 |
| Two weeks of ordinary use per device is the right interval for you | You want to buy once a month or less — take the 40K or the 60K instead |
| You want to confirm the nicotine strength with a person before ordering | You need a published strength figure on the page before you will buy — ours does not carry one |
Questions buyers ask before ordering
How long will 18 ml actually last me?
Between one and five weeks, and the spread is genuine rather than evasive. The reservoir holds 18 ml and ordinary consumption for this kind of device runs at 200 to 300 draws per millilitre, so the total is somewhere between 3,600 and 5,400 draws. Divide that by your own daily pace: at 150 draws a day you are looking at three to five weeks, at 300 you are looking at about a fortnight, and at 500 — long draws in Boost mode — you may finish it inside a fortnight. Someone using it heavily through the day will get through it in about a week.
How long does a full charge take, and how many charges will I get?
About an hour from empty through the Type-C port, in my own timing. How many charges you get depends on how you run it, and the ECO setting is the one that stretches it: on ECO I charged roughly every third day, while a week of Boost-only use brought that down to every second day. The figure to hold on to is the one-hour recharge, because that is the part you can plan around.
What nicotine strength is this device?
Our specification sheet does not state one, so we are not going to invent a figure for it — that is the honest answer, and it is a gap in our own listing rather than something we are hiding. Other shops do quote a strength for this device, and we will not repeat their number as though it were ours. Message us before you order and we will confirm what the current stock carries.
Can I change how open the draw is?
Yes, and it is the adjustment worth learning first. A sliding switch on the base opens and closes the air hole. Fully open gives you a loose, airy draw with plenty of vapour; closed down gives a tighter draw with a firmer sensation at the back of the throat. Mine lives about two-thirds open.
Will it leak in a pocket or a bag?
In ten days of pocket and jacket carry I had nothing on the inside of a pocket, and there is very little that could escape: an 18 ml reservoir sealed at the factory leaves the mouthpiece as the only route out. We should be straight about the limit of that answer, though — our listing describes the body and the leather grip but says nothing about a cap or a seal, so we cannot claim either. Standing it upright when it is not in use is the habit that keeps a pre-filled device tidy, whichever way the mouthpiece is built.
What is in the box, and what do I need to have ready?
Our listing describes the device and its packaging weight but never lists the contents of the box, so we are not going to guess at a cable or a spare. Have a USB Type-C cable ready — that is the port on the base, and it is the same cable your phone uses. If the exact contents matter to you, ask us before ordering and we will check the current pack.
Delivery, service, and ordering in quantity
The current price for the flavour you choose is shown on this page and confirmed at checkout; we do not print figures into the description, because a price written into copy goes stale the moment a tier moves.
Dispatch and tracking
Orders ship from our EU warehouse, typically within three to seven working days, and you get a tracking reference when the parcel leaves us. If you need an order to arrive by a particular date, message us before you place it and we will tell you honestly whether the timing works rather than letting you find out afterwards.
If something is wrong with the device
Our published policy does not accept returns once an order has been shipped, so the moment to raise a problem is before you order or immediately on arrival rather than a fortnight later. Send us a message with your order number and a photograph of what arrived, and we will work through it with you from there. If you are unsure whether this device is right for you at all, ask first — that conversation is cheaper for both of us than a return we cannot process.
Ordering for a shop or a reseller
This device ships 200 pieces to a carton — roughly 21.37 kg, on a 547 × 347 × 276 mm pallet footprint — and it is one of the easier lines to split because the 45 flavours are held as separate variations rather than as a single mixed box. Tell us the flavour split you want and we will confirm stock against it before you commit. Larger quantities and repeat schedules are quoted individually, so the price is agreed with you rather than published here.
Manufacturer figures in this description — the puff rating, the capacity, the battery and the coil — are stated as the manufacturer’s own claims. We have attributed them rather than converted them into promises, and where our own listing was silent, this page says so instead of filling the gap.
